Volunteer Trainings: June 3 or June 17, 10 am to Noon at CCFC. Breakfast will be served!

Soccer Nights is a free, summer evening soccer clinic offered to children ages 5-12 that seeks to promote athletic skill, leadership development and citywide unity in neighborhoods throughout Greater Boston. CCFC hosts Central Square Soccer Nights collaboratively with Pentecostal Tabernacle. Last year we reached over 150 children from the area!

In order to run this program, we need all the volunteers we can get. Whether you love playing soccer, want to be around kids, have a heart for hospitality or the city, or are good with logistics, there's something for everyone, and soccer skills are not required! Read on to learn more.

Volunteer Trainings:
  • Saturday, June 3 or June 17
  • 10 am to Noon at CCFC
  • Breakfast will be served!

The meeting will be an overview of what you can expect during the week of Soccer Nights, including the vision and values curriculum we will be teaching. This is also an opportunity for you to meet the other volunteers you will be working with! Volunteers from the leadership team will be there to answer any questions you have about specific roles.

Soccer Nights Volunteer F.A.Q.'s

Why should I volunteer?

Soccer Nights is a great opportunity to live out the values of CCFC as we seek to pour out our lives for the city so that God may be known in Cambridge, Boston, and all the earth.

What will happen at the volunteer trainings?

  • Meet young people from the other churches in Central Square who are involved in Soccer Nights
  • Learn more about the vision of Soccer Nights
  • Learn about the different volunteer roles available
  • Receive some training specific to the areas you are interested in volunteering in.

What kind of volunteers are you looking for?

  • Soccer coaches (any amount of experience welcome)
  • Teachers to teach short lessons about various aspects of life
  • Welcome team members to register the campers, hand out food, and interact with the parents

How much time will this require of me?

The time commitment is minimal and varies depending on your role. Please attend one of the volunteer trainings, and there may be separate trainings for coaches.

The camp itself runs from June 27 - July 1 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. We ask volunteers to be available from about 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on those nights, but understand if people have to come later or leave early. We would love volunteers to be available all five days, but if you need to miss a few nights, your help is still be welcome and needed!

I still have questions. Who can I contact?

Feel free to email the Central Square Soccer Nights Planning Team at soccernights1 [at] gmail.com.
