World Missions Committee announcements

Hello CCFC,

We wanted to keep you up to speed on the upcoming events and happenings sponsored by WMC!

Order all-natural nut butter from Cambodia
The Hong Family, CCFC's missionaries in Cambodia, have created a start-up company called Joyfully Nutty, "Cambodia’s first all natural nut butter company." Some of us in WMC tried some samples that the Hongs brought with them over the summer, and we're craving some more! We will be placing a bulk order to economize on shipping, so if you would like to join the order, please fill out this form by November 13th. You will be able to pick your Joyfully Nutty butter at church in early December!

The Greater Boston Refugee Ministry (GBRM)
GBRM is dedicated to serving refugees in our city and connecting them with church communities. We have been deepening our partnership with GBRM over the years and welcome you to join the following events that are open to everyone:
  • Annual Fundraiser (Saturday 11/18, 5:30-8PM @ Arabic Evangelical Baptist Church)
    • This is a celebration of the work God has done in and through all our lives, and hopefully an inspirational evening of connecting with people and ideas. As one of their church partners, GBRM would love to have a group from CCFC attend!  There is no pressure to make a financial donation to GBRM at the fundraiser, as WMC will be doing so on behalf of CCFC. Please RSVP with GBRM and also email WMC at wmc [at] ccfc-church.org to give us a heads up you would like to attend.
  • Ambassador Training (Saturday 12/2, 3-5PM @ Emmanuel Gospel Center)
    • If you would like to become more involved with GBRM and connect with refugees here in Boston, this training is mandatory. We already have a group of people at CCFC who have been trained as GBRM ambassadors; if you would like to join this team or learn more about refugee ministry in Boston, please attend this first training. Before attending, please fill out this form to register.

Giving to earthquake relief
It has been almost 2 months since the devastating earthquakes that took over 300 lives in Mexico, and the country is still in the process of rebuilding. One of our partner organizations, Urban Mosaic, is on the ground in Mexico City mobilizing resources to help in the city's recovery. Please consider donating to their Earthquake Relief Fund here to support their cause.

Come check out WMC
The World Missions Committee meets every month, and meetings are open to anyone in the congregation. Our next meeting is Sunday December 10th, 11AM - 12:30PM in the CCFC nursery.

If you have questions about any of these events, or would like to learn more about WMC and the work we're doing with our missionaries and partner organizations, please feel free to shoot us an email at wmc [at] ccfc-church.org.

Have a great rest of the week! Stay warm out there!

:D
